Question Clothes dryer "bounce" sheet for dragracing air intake?

I had not heard of this before -

A guy said he uses a Bounce dryer sheet at the track instead of his air cleaner. Sounds sensible, but I wonder if it'll mess up the computer???

I don't think that I'd use Bounce...I have used a womans nylon stocking on my F-Body though, and it works great.

I'd be afraid if the sheet or the stocking getting sucked into the intake.

Just go without the filter, shouldn't hurt much for 1/2 of a mile, Or if you like the filtration, use the hose like hyldr said. While your at it, fold in them mirrors!!! I'm shure you could save a few 1/10ths if you tape up some of the seams, ( I wouldn't, but some may)

I wouldn't run without the filter. It doesn't take much to screw up the MAF meter. A buddy of mine tried this at the track on a Mustang, and ended up killing the MAF meter.

Maybe the fresh scent is worth some extra power??

Queen or Petite on the nylons? I've got a bunch of the Queen size so I wonder if they'll work. I don't want to buy more if...

Uh, nevermind...

Talking

I wonder if it would be better to use the nylon or the cotton panel? They say the cotton panel breathes better...
