Do you guys keep the emblems on the truck, or remove them, then apply the acetone? Thanks,
Ian

As far as will it take the paint off your truck. YEs it will, but only if you let a rag soaked with it sit on your paint too long. Its a paint stipper you know.

I used it on the emblems on the truck and no problems. Just don't leave the rag haning on your mirror like I did. Not a big deal but that stuff is nasty stuff. Made a small part of the paint on my Mirror bubble. It also made my plastic part on the mirror soft.

Just be careful and you will be happy.

i feel the same way, i still unsure about it too. i think i want to wait untill i can get the black part painted silver to match my truck.

thats why i wouldnt do it to a black truck. i like when u can only see the word and not the whole emblem.

I second what QkSilvr said

In doing my badges, I noticed my paint was "hazing" every where the acetone touched. I did prepare myself for i though (had a bucket of clean water, and a bucket of soappy water, and a clean towel near by. Everytime I touched the paint, I'd wash it, rinse it, and dry it, then do it all over again. A little overkill? Yes, but my paint didn't suffer at all, and I've already got tons of compliments for my truck only being outside for no more than a total of 2 hours (driving and parked!)
