Tranny is in the beast, finally!

well I got together with eddie and another guy to help me put this tranny in the beast and she's a done deal! filled her up wtih fluid last night and now all I need is the long tubes and cats which are supposed to be her thursday. so if all goes well the beast will be on the street with her new mods this weekend! also having the uper plenum ported and thats going to be done thursday too!

Question though, how much fluid did you guys have to put in your trucks after a complete tranny rebuild? I've got 11 quarts in there now and I wanted to let it sit in there and start it up before I added more. Also I have a PA tranny pan so it hold 2 to 3 quarts more then stock.

I can't wait guys, the weather is so nice!!!

Adios boys!

I think around 14 is right for a stock pan. I would get through the gears some sitting still and let it get hot. Let me know what you come up at the end Joe, I am going to be getting a convertor soon and will be doing the same thing...

I highly doubt it since my rims and tires for racing arn't done yet and also I have allot of work to do on another L that day. I wouldn't even waste my time trying to hook up at the track with the street tires.

I looking at next saturday to be a good day to go and race for the first time this year and take over as the fastest gen 2 L in IL, HEHEHEHE MAYBE!

I still got allot fo stuff to do and I have to have the bed painted by bob strait next week, so I'm hoping he can get that done ASAP cause it looks bad!

but I will be out in the next two weeks for sure, I just don't know what day yet?
