Ive been rerading some message boards and a few things crossed my mind. I notices a lot of money being put into these things, are they reliable? I have never looked at them and I was just wondering what the price range was? and also if anyone knows of any good dealers thay have a few lightnings in stock in southern california? Thanx in advance!

All I can say is mines has been very reliable. Driven everyday since late 99'. Going on to 62K miles soon. Only things that needed service was my IAC ($70) and a driveshaft ($150, only because I go to the track alot) . Price wise I've seen new ones go from $29000 to $32000. Depends where you get it I guess. Sorry, don't know any dealers in south cali.

My son is looking for a X-plan-friendly dealer in the LA area as he now wants a Lightning too. If you find a good X-plan dealer, please let me/us know.

You won't regret getting a L. I have 27,600 trouble-free miles on my 01. She get's ridden hard frequently but never put away wet and she rewards me with daily grins .

So Cal Lightning Dealers

Hi:

I just purchased a '02 Black L from a dealer in Tustin (Orange Co.) Joe MacPherson Ford.

I paid MSRP (32,590), went through the on-line sales department. I visited quite a few of the SVT dealerships in Orange County and could not find a lower price. Actually, a number of the dealerships have either a 5K/10K mark-up on the truck. The "new" MSRP is 32,815. I think I was told that this has to do with a change in the Destination charge.

The dealer advised me that it would be tough to get your color choice this late in the sales year, as available models are dwindling. I actually got the dealer to do a dealer trade in order to get the Black I wanted. Good Luck

Love my 2002!

Try John Braun at Mcoy-Mills in Fullerton, tell him Brad Wolff from Palm Springs sent you (no I don't get a kickback!).

The prices sem higher in Socal compared to other areas, but I wanted my Blue.....

I can honestly say that my '99 L has been the best vehicle I've ever owned. Bar-none. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a balanced, good-looking, powerful, nimble vehicle to have fun in. They are a blast even in bone stock form.

They're the most fun you can have with your fly zipped up!!!

GO FOR IT!!!
