What Tire Pressure Would Be Best For My New Nitto 305/45/18 555R's On The Street?

I just ordered a set of Nitto 555R's 305/45/18 for the rear of my L and a set of Nitto 555's 295/45/18 for the front. I would like to know what air pressure should I run in the front and rear for daily driving and what I should drop the pressure to in the rear while at the track for the best traction and tire wear?

Thanks,

Cool

Hey Dude,

In the rear, I run 20-22 psi at the track. I run 28-30 psi on the street. If I know I'm going to do some street racing, I put them back to 22 psi. I would run 32 psi in the fronts.

They work pretty good on the street, just do a little burn out before you street race to heat them up.

I run about 27 psi. around town, Then If I'm going to go do some stomping around town and whoopin' some A$$ I run about 20 to 23 psi. Just don't take any corners fast or the tires will flex bad with low pressure in them and could pop off the rim or just lose control on corners. I've tried this already almost ended up in a ditch. But they hook awesome on the straight away!!!

DL- Thanks for the info. After seeing those 555R's at WFC i just had to have a set. So I sold my ET streets and bought a set. Plus after hearing RobG getting 1.71 60 foot times I was sold. Oh and by the way where you stay at? LOL

RA6870- Thanks for the info. I will be sure to keep check on the tire pressure.
