Chrome Vs. Satin finish grilles Help me Choose!

Since they are coming out with the SS grills for the 01's and 02's now, please help me decide which to buy. I have a Red 01 with Chrome 20's so should i go with a chrome grille or Satin one? I was thinking Chrome to match the wheels....but will that be too much?

Chrome

I have the satin, and wish I had gotten the chrome! But, I bought mine from SHOWYA and he gave me a great deal, so I can't complain too much!

Ultimately you will have to decide for yourself.

I replaced my satin SS grill (that I had slightly damaged during installation) with another satin SS grill and couldn't be happier. I could have gone with chrome but personally I prefer satin.

In my opinion, there is a perfect balance of chrome already on the front of our trucks and to add more might destroy that balance. I didn't want to do anything that would take away from the nasty-sick looking chrome headlights, corner, and foglights that MAKE the front of our trucks. I think it's the perfect blend of finishes but YOU will have to decide for yourself.

Look at all the trucks with SS grills, that you can, and make the decision, that's all you can do. Either way, it's going to look good. Good luck!

I would go with the chrome one also to match your rims! That would look sweet.

Hey CrazyFoo let me know when you want to get rid of your grill, I'd be interested. It will fit a 99 L' right?

id stick with the satin. i think the chrome looks tacky!! the satin is a great looking grille and stands out, but not too much.

Here's a different spin. I've ordered mine but I will paint it red to match the truck. Now that will be different. I must add that my wheels are red powder coated and it gives the vehicle a kind of NASCAR look.

What the heck, I like red.

Satin was my choice. I think Chickenears is right about the balance.

Besides, I've got enough to wax...

I'm going with satin, to go with the ghost flames, and maybe that flames grille insert, and the flames rear window decal, and maybe these: http://www.sha-sha.com/site_mens.html

lightning0513,
i think Chansaw had first dibs on it, but if he does not want it, i would just have to unbolt it from my stock grille and it could be yours

wolff-- your truck looks so good. please dont put those flame grilles and tint on your truck!! if so, you might as well go w/ a windshield sticker that says " CHIHUAHUA " no flame intended, but there is such a thing as "over"-exceserizing a truck!!

Just Kidding! Thou I do like those flames sneakers!!!!!
After lookin' at literally thousands of Harleys, you get to see what Tim talked about - balance - in chrome/satin as it relates to the front end. I am looking to not do too little or too much, and I don't want it to look like I ran out of money and just slapped on a grille, either. Have to take it slow, piece by piece and style it out right... hey, maybe a set of those lite up exhaust tips
