Question 18" fronts, 20" rears?

Just wondering... might look cool with matching wheels. Not sure about handling, ride, etc.

Anyone Photoshop this idea?

If you keep the overall diameter of the tires the same it should work ok

Yeah, but I thought of it 10 months ago

What were you considering 18's front 20's rear? And like Don said, are you going to keep the same overall diameter? My thing is I would like something like 295/40/20's in there rear, which is obviously more of a rolling diameter then stock.

But I have no idea what handling affect would be??? I'm sure it wouldn't be a good idea for road course or auto-x to have mis-matched like that, but's a five minute swap back to the old rims if your into those events.

So other then a chip reburn to compensate the speedo I don't think the affects would be that bad.

Has anyone seen 20 replicas for the 01' wheels?

I did see rear rims larger on the new `cedes, and yes, the tire size went thinner to compensate. Speedo affected? Not sure, as I don't know where it ties into on the truck.

if the diameter is not real real real close, the ABS light will come on and your abs wont work. I see it a lot with mustangs that run slightly taller tires in the rear.

so, if the rev count is off, wouldn't that show up when everyone gets those 20" or 22" rims? I don't hear about the ABS problems...

not necessarily, the computer doesnt look at a set number, but the number comming from the sensors at the other wheels and as long as they are all the same all should be fine..
or something like that

Yep, as long as they are all the same (or real real close)
