I've decided to go for the 90MM MAF for my 99 L with a 12 inch filter. Both JDM and PSP offer what appears to be similar. The difference I think I see (not sure) is that the JDM kit does not offer a cleanable air filer and you would have to buy a new one when the old gets dirty.

Although the JDM is a little more, it comes with a chip reburn... Wonder if that covers two if it's a switch chip.

If anyone has either of them let me know what you think, from ease to install and looks once in, to how you performed with it.

just a few hours ago i installed my 90mm maf on my 1999 lightning, small world.

i'm not totally sure but i think all or mostly all of the 90mm maf are stock ford.

i had a old jonny lightning superchip reburned by jdm and connected the 90mm also from jdm to a jl 12" filter without the ramair.

i must of got the only bad jl ram air ever made, i had to have it almost redesigned it was so poorly made.

now it seems to wook pretty well after redrilling the a.s. having it honed, bored, and having to create custom cork gaskets (i wonder how long those bolts will stay tight there?).

now if i can just find the guys that stole my $4500 stereo and tore the heck out of my lightning it would make my week.

JDMs 90mm MAF is a stock ford piece. Sal's probably is too but I don't know that for sure. The quality of everything I have seen or bought from both JDM and Sal has been first class.

SVTMoonshine - I don't think it matters who's you get, like Noel said top quality.

My advice: Since you have a chip but didn't say who's it is, order the MAF from whoever you got the chip from. If you have superchip, order JDM and he can reburn the chip. If it's autologic go with Sal and he'll reburn that chip.

 

Both filters are cleanable and reuseable.

Most, if not all of our tuners will reburn a chip bot from them for only shipping.
