Chip
Naa, no need to remove the chip....UNLESS MAYBE..you would like the work to be done under warranty and don’t want to have the fun of arguing about whether or not the chip was responsible for the damage.
OR UNLESS MAYBE you don’t want to take any chances on the dealer canceling your warranty…
Ask yourself this….”Do you feel lucky?”
Then again, MAYBE you have found a secret tax law that lets you write off Repair services and parts on the Lightning’s that the rest of us might want to know about….
Just Diggin’ on ya man…. I would take the chip out just if for no other reason that to avoid the hassle.
I would also take an 8MM and take off the negative from the battery for about 10 minutes to reset the computer codes to remove evidence of the chip being in.
