Question 16" x 10" Wheel Users.

I got my Hoosier Quicktime Pro's yesterday and need to find the right wheels. What is everyone using and what is the backspacing. I would really like to get something that has the factory backspacing (5.5) or even a little more like 6-6.25.

What are the wheels and backspacing dimensions everyone currently has?

BTW, these tires have a serious contact patch that is significantly bigger than the ET's and other non-dot hoosiers I've seen people run.

Thanks for any input.

I can't imagine a DOT slick would be able to hook nearly as well as a "true" slick. Does anyone have REAL information on this?

Alcoa 16x10. Bought online for $105/ea. Back spacing is 4.5". You might have a hard time finding cheap wheels with a 5.5-6.5" back spacing. 00-02 lug nuts are M14-2.0 (14mm). Make sure to get open end nuts. No closed nuts for slicks.

Thanks for the info everyone. Keep it coming please.

Weedo - It appears that this "DOT" slick is the same compound at their 16" slick except that it has about a 1/4 more compound on it that they have cut two very small grooves in it to meet the DOT requirements. We will see if they are better or worse than anything else out there now, but, they've got to be better than the F1's .

Soap & LIGHTNINGROD - BAJA's are a possibility at this point. Do you know the backspacing?

Silver-Bolt - I hear you on the back-spacing vs. cost. If the bogarts work I'm sure they will not be cheap.

Open end lugs?

Why do you need open end lug nuts for slicks? Is it NHRA regs or something?

My 16x10's have a 4 1/2" backspacing and they will stick out a bit, so don't get mad if you sling rubber down the side of your bed when you go to heat them up. My wheels are made by "TNT" and they look just like the Baja's. I don't really like them though, because they weigh 32lbs. a piece. I payed around $115 a piece for them.
BTW the 14mm x 2" closed end acorn lugnuts are the way to go. About $15 for 10 of them.

Need/F/S:

I d/k the backspacing number. I know they fit fine--stick out a little bit. They are 'light'. I didn't weigh them but with the M/Ts on one, it feels about 1/2 the weight of the stock heavyweights.
