Air force 1

Just curious, has anyone tried the new Air force 1 kit for the 01 & 02 L yet.

I have ordered mine but have not yet received it. Just want to know what to expect.

I installed it Wed. night and since that time it has either been raining or 90 degrees outside. I ran the truck pretty hard this morning and it seems to be a pretty small SOTP difference if any. The temperature and humidity is affecting it a lot. I was expecting a polished tube and the kit does not have one. Quality of the kit seems fine though. Should be just as good as any other kit.

OK Tim, here ya go. Very poor quality, but all I had to take the picture with right now was my visor with the eyemodule.

Thanks for the picture 2020is,

Is it possible to have them a bit clearer and also a top view. Curious as to how much bigger the filter is.

Better quality pics are gonna cost ya I will try to get some better quality tomorrow with the camera. Those were taken with my PDA. The filter is huge though. The filter pretty much fills the space between the MAF and the inner fender. I feel like it is a nice set up and when the weather cools back down in October here in NC it will rock LOL. I'm gonna have to get a chip soon to keep the grin factor alive during the 90+ degree temps and 99% humidity. I will try to get some more pics tomorrow.

I too just put one on Friday night. Filter is huge. I was also expecting something polished but to no avail. 2020is, did your boot that goes to the firewall fit ok? Couldn't get mine to cover the hole properly. Also what screw did you take out for the clamp with bolt?

Fowl, just got in and did not take pictures today. (Being a day of rest and everything ) I will try again on Mon. or maybe someone else will post some before that.

kschaper - I took the bottom bolt out of the cruise control bracket but I thought about taking out the middle one in the upper portion of the bracket. The boot seems to cover the hole pretty good, there is a little flex in the system but I think it is because of the rubber between the MAF and the TB. OVerall I think all of the kits are probably pretty close.

You can contact Mikr troyer at performance products. Just go to the computer chip forum and you will see all his posts and his email address.
