I was wondering how old you lightning drivers were?

No truck payment (THANK GOD), but only a few months left to go on the "free ride" insurance. I can't imagine how some of y'all afford to make payments on this thing (while still in school). Hell, I'm a college graduate with a full time job and can barely pay for my girlfriend and mods!

my turn I guess
23...
105/mo for insurance.... until next quarter when progressive checks up on my traffic record!
signifigantly more on car payments... bought outright with no trade in, no money down...
gotten more tickets in 3 months with this thing than I have in my previous 7 years of driving!
oh the humanity!

Also 54. I pay $426/6 mos on the "L" No tickets (2 yrs).
Insurance sucks, no matter what age you are. You pay and pay and pay, and then when you need them, they either jerk you around and try to hose you or they pay up and then jack your rates.
I just hope that there is a special room in hell for insurance executives, along with one for people who drive slow in the left lane and gasoline Co. execs.

I am 28 and own a 02 Firehawk (#50) right now. Allstate charges me 85.00 a mo for full coverage w/ 500 deductibles. I just drove a black 02 Lightning yesterday and my ins. agent said my monthly premiums would drop to 65.00.
The sticker on the 02 Lightning is 33K + 1500 addendum and no rebates or special APR's. They are willing to drop the 1500.00 markup over MSRP for me and that's it. I made several calls to other local SVT dealers and it seems that most of them follow the same practices.

LOL! Oh man I wish I had your guys numbers! I am 24 and have a terrible driving record. Traded in my 99 cobra for the L and they only gave me 20 & change for it when I still owed 25+ so I got royally screwed and ended up paying 38K for my lightning after the bake in. My monthly WITHOUT insurance is over $700! Heres the catcher......my age (not 25 yet) and my driving record figured in at Farmers Insurance......ready.....$2200 every SIX MONTHS! Just for insurance! Best deal I could get. Do the math, 700+ a month for payment and 367 a month for insurance. yup...over a grand monthly. If I had a perfect driving record, for that money I could be driving a Jag XK8 convertible with insurance included. I drive better now that I have had these numbers. Best of luck gents.
