Do you need a chip if you go with a cold air intake & k&n?

I am new to modifications, and a new L owner. Go easy on me.

No you dont.however if your going to get mods done a chip would be the way to go.There are alot of chips out there.I happen to like Diablo.If you plan on getting a pulley.N2O,Mass air
gears etc then you will need a chip..Hope this helps

You can even add a 2lb pulley without a chip but believe me, the chip is what makes everything meld togeather and allows for more meaningful mods. 'Chips' are the DSL/Cable connection of Lightnings---everything sppeds up .
