Question Nitrous and 5LB pulley

Is anyone running Nitrous and a 5lb pulley?? Would u guys recommend it?? if so how big of shot are u going with??? it wouldn't be sprayed all the time just for emergencies Also what type of plugs would be recommended to run?? I already have denso IT 22s. I was wondering if those were good enough?? any help is greatly appreciated..

I wouldnt do it unless you have a built motor. with 5lbs and juice your asking for trouble unless you have a built motor. If your goin to run a pulley a nitrous dont go above 4lbs and 100 shot. 100 shot is pushing it a little imo but i would consider 100 the absolute max!

These are our suggestions for nitrous with stock motors:

Stock boost up to +2 psi- 100 shot

+2psi to +4 psi - 75 shot

+4 psi to +6 psi - 50 shot

Over +6 psi, not recommended.

You can get away with more on a 99-00 motor, but going over these guidelines on an 01-02, is not suggested.

I'm sure there are those who have exceeded what I suggest with no problems, but I made those limitation guidelines based on the majority of failures.

Youse guys are Nucking Futs!

Supercharger + Nitrous = KABOOM!!!!

Now I know where those pictures of melted spark plug electrodes come from.

NHRA rules ban the use of a supercharger with nitrous.

Cool

I have been hanging around this site for about 6 months now and it is becoming increasingly clear that most of the folks that warn against using nitrous know very litle about its use. Find a tuner that has experience and listen to them! Not the other people (vultures) who sit on the fence and wait for motors to go kaboom. Sal seems to be the best one out there for nitrous knowledge. I have a 99 L with a 6# lower and run a 75 shot, but only in the 1/8 mile. The real question is cylinder pressure and if you happen to have a "weak" rod from the factory. My truck has 43K and seems to still be running strong. However, it is true whenever you push the envelope as far as mods are concerned, without careful attention to detail and a little luck, you can expect the unexpected. Run the 50 shot and you should be fine.

90 percent of these people are stupid . I have a 5lb pulley and shoot 90hp of juice, truck runs fine. If you dont use nitrous dont comment, you look dumb if you do..................
