Here is a 2 year old picture of my 2000 Lightning dropped with a Bell Tech 3/4 and Western Chassis A-arms with stock F-1 Good year tires and stock rims did the Chrome Exchange with Santa Ana Wheel Company.

I now have 20 inch 2001 Chorme Factory Reproduction Rims. The Second Picture is the newer rims on my Lightning.

BuiltFordFast: Where did you get the Ground Force Products from, and what was the approximate cost for the 2/1 drop??? What all is involved with the kit? Shackles, springs, leaf springs???

thanks.

Hi Joe :

Got the kit from Truckperformance.com
The item # is GF9902 and the cost was 127.53
I had my local alignment shop do the install

Here is a pic of the kit. The only additional items in the pic that are not included with the kit
were the Herbs washers which fix the infamous clunk. You will also need a set of camber bolt kits so you can align it.

Hope this helps some.

Dave, wow thats all that is involved? The springs are for the front, and the control arms for the rear? Is that how the breakdown goes, in order to drop the 2/1 on the truck?

thanks bud.

Joe :

Yep, springs on the front dropping it 1" and shackles on the back dropping it 2". retained the stock shocks.
Total cost was :
2/1 kit = 127.53
herbs washers = 50.00
Camber kits = 27.00
Labour = 150.00
(Prices quoted in U.S. dollars)
