I believe the secret racing spot that turboba is talking about is "The philly street races" The land of lowered extreme pickup trucks that cant make it over a fu*king speed bump racing a dodge neon with a huge wing on the back that is drying his clothes as he spins a front wheel drive burnout and roars the teenage crowd. When I was 15 it was cool. Now purely pethetic. So where is this racer x man to back up his big mouth ?? Speak up buddy make my next truck payment.

I live in Philly, own a Lightning, always checking out the street scene. I've never seen an 11 second Lightning. Where are you talking about, Front St., Delaware Av., Medows, Bud Co. pick one I'll give you a go.

He's probably one of those guys from PSR (Philadelphia Street Racers)...Friend of mine looked into joining up with them with his Mustang, but decided against it when all he saw was ricers. I know of two L's in the area that qualify to be in the 11 to 10 second bracket and both of them are Gen 1's with major mods. One of them would not be caught dead on the streets with his Big Thumper Turbo machine and the other is a twin turbo unit that I haven't seen for a while.....But in the words of the the other guys, bring it to the track and we will see....

Oh BOY!! I just got to work here to check the board and look here!!!

First off, The RACE hangout, VERY little import crap, is in the parking lot of the Neshaminy Interplex, off Route 1, just past Southhampton road going North on the Boulevard, behind Wawa. I'll be there this Sunday night myself (Grey Stock mid 12 Turbo T) as well as Dave, whom I though would get a kick out of trying to get a race for him as we get about 100 or so cars on a good Sunday night and NO fast L's!!

Hopefully we'll see if anyone steps up this weekend, by the way we DON'T RUN FOR MONEY, just fun & bragging rights!!

I don't race on the street for anything. I would rather spend my money on mods than tickets. Also, I'd hate to see someone wreck trying to keep up with me.

 

Alright, first off, if someone pulls up next to you in a vette or Buick at a seculed light, you're NOT going to run them??? Gimme a break!!!

 

A spontaneous situation, not sure. Am I going to go out and intentionally street race, no. Why would I? I have a dragstrip 10 mintues from my house and there aren't a lot of "street" cars in the area that would give much competition. You get past street racing after a certain HP or ET. Most 11 sec. cars and truck need slicks to go anywhere. I burn tires for 10-20 feet from a 30-40mph kick. How can you race like that?
