You can get Windex with vinegar (has no ammonia)

Once a month, I use a straight razor blade, and scrape the windows bare. You would be amazed at the contamination that your windows accumulate, even when using cleaners.

Have you ever noticed at the track, a brand new truck doesn't like shoe polish on the window. Its because the glass is clean and has no road/atmospheric grime to hold the pigments.

Use a blade once a month, and save your windows for years...

Other than that, Mother Billet polish for the tips, and simple green for the engine.

Once a month I polish with Mothers mag polish, but for weekly cleaning I just use my mag wheel cleaner and my wheel brush (I clean the exhaust tips just after I clean the wheels). both inside and out... takes off everything and exposes the polish nicely...

haven't found anything that work better/easier than this combo...

cleaning takes less than a minute...

Ditto. Cleaning the insides would be like giving a proctology exam, or something...

I normally wash my TRUCK every week. I wass the tips, inside and out, each time. I will polish and shine them evry 2-3 weeks depending on how they look after a few washes.

I have had the L about 2 years now and have never cleaned the exhuast tips. I think they should be black!!! Not quite there yet even though I have 37,000 miles on the TRUCK.

getting all the way inside (alright, that sounds bad) is difficult, but I like having them both shiny inside, and out. while cleaning, I have received battle scars, but it's been well worth it.

I have never had a problem with it on my tinted windows. But like i said once you use the 3M foam glass cleaner you wont go back the stuff is awesome .

OUTSIDES: Clean them every time you wash your truck.
INSIDES: Clean them when ever you feel you need to.

I am neurotic about cleaning, so I did mine all the time.

I agree - I don't like seeing the black soot on the inside of the tips. If they were turned down toward the ground, that would be another story... it is something you see. By having the inside as clean as the outside, it amplifies the shine they make - makes it more noticeable.

...guess I am a neat freak.

Yep I can confirm that, Vinnie keeps his pipes real clean.

I do the outside about once a wek and the insides when I feel like it.
