just so everyone knows....the procedure posted up there by Grunttruck is right and worked for me after re-connecting my battery with the key in the ignition.....i should know, i posted it!!!

 

Some body has not been reading the online disclaimer when they are logging into QCDealer I do not pay alot of attention to it either LOL

I have a 2001 screw with the 5.4. When I turn the key on, the theft light flashes rapidly. I let it flash for 60 seconds then it gave code 16 or 61.

Can anyone tell me what this code indicates?

ok this is strange... I did the odometer trick and went through the DTC codes (codes d147 and d262 were stored). I then turned the key off, waited a second, turned it back on and cranked right up...

I don't understand how the solution is related to the original problem but at least it worked...
