i was at the track tonight and there was an 03 cobra there it was stock but not all that. it made 3 passes hooking and the guy was powershiftin. it run 8.70 8.81 and 8.74. it didn't impress me .

 

that is pretty slow. what track were you at. ive been meaning to get back down there but i had to send my chip back again. it wasnt burnt just right. where did you end up getting a chip at? i got your email but havent been on lately. did you make any passes with the new chip?

but if the guy was pulling crappy times, he can't drive,

i seriously doubt he was powershifting,

we all know the new cobra is 3/4 weight lightning

mod for mod, we won't be able to keep up, plain and simple, just the facts

 

I dunno beefcake, I agree with the first poster. You probably read how unimpressed I was with my 03 Cobra test drive.

It takes a little skill to get great 60ft times and that's where you get the times you want. I'm still working on it myself.

 

Guys, the '03 Cobra is a BEAST plain and simple. Whether or not you were impressed by seeing it or driving it doesn't deny the fact that it can run 12.6's bone stock w/ a great driver!

 

Here we go, now some of you guys are gonna start acting like the guys over at ls1.com give it a rest, stock vs. stock, mod vs. mod the cobra will rip up our L's. just leave it alone

 

The cobra and L are 2 differnt animals. The cobra is the fastest pony car and the L is by far the fastest truck around. To compare them and get into a pissing match is useless. We all know the cobra is the terror of the streets now. And the cobra deserves the respect of everyone on this site. If you have a L and your jealous of the cobra go buy one. It's still a Ford.

 

Add a chip, filter, pulley, and exhaust to the Cobra and it will be close to 500hp and run low 11's all day long.

 

I agree, but some people on here mouth off how they beat this car or that car but get their underwear in a bunch when they see something they know that would spank them. There will ALWAYS be something faster, get over yourselves and your trucks.

 

the guy had 2.0 and 2.1 60ft times how much more do u want on stock tires. i wasn't in the car with him or anything but you could see and hear him shift and he wasn't to shabby at it. but i guess you just had to be there.

 

Some people can drive stick real well and some people don't. Most of these cobras will get real fast once the motors break in.

 

a friend of mine just got one, and says that it is real over-rated. not nearly the power that he expected....chris
