I accidentally put in the wrong type of fuel in my '02 L. What should I do, drain it or what??? Can anyone please give me advice on this.

Thank You!

You must siphon it out somehow. I don't know how. If you filled it up you can take it real real easy until the tank is 3/4 full and put a higher octane in to mix with the bad fuel.

You couldn't just add enough Torco to get it back up to the correct octane? Of course, you'd have to EASE through that tank, but it shouldn't matter too much.

[EDIT] This is DUCK...I didn't realize LB was logged in. D'OH![/EDIT]

Just drive it w/ no boost and really easy until you use the gas up. Once you are down to about a half mix in some race fuel.

as long as u put gas, and not diesel you should be ok, truck is stock right with no chip? i wouldnt put regular in it but it will run on regular, but you would probably get pinging, just stay out of the throttle until you get that crap out of there. if you put diesel by accident, oh my get it drained out of there and dont drive truck.

87 octane

Will not hurt a thing as long as you stay out of boost. Lightnings only have 8.5 compression so you will be fine. Just keep your right foot out of the throttle! NO BOOST Skip

go down to your local paint store and pick up 2 gallons of teulean and put it in the tank. it has a octane level of 114. its safe to do. many people even race cars use it to mix their gas to a certain level.

its around 4-8$ a gallon
