need help, major problems!!!

installed a 5lb pulley a few weeks ago. took the l to the track and didn't see any improvement. The truck seemed sluggish and sputtered when running 55mph or so. I sent my chip back to have it reburnt(diablosport). Now the truck runs stronger than it ever has. However when it shifts into drive at wot, i get the worst valve chatter i've ever heard. Im still running stock plugs and that may have something to do with it. ive got tr5s in the shop waiting to be put in. but could the plugs be causing this terrible chatter?

Get it looked at soon by someone you trust soon. Don't screw around, these motors go boom easy.

I can't say if the plugs are causing the problem, but a 5lb pulley and stock plugs are a NO-NO, even the tr5's shouldn't be put in. Go with the tr6's. And don't drive the truck hard until this is fixed.

uhhhhhhhhh----

Let's not forget the obvious!!? Did you get the chip tuned for a 5# pulley?

If not, don't drive it much until you do...

its burnt for a 5lber. my 1st burn seemed sluggish and the truck wanted to miss and sputter when running around 55mph or so. the truck doesnt chatter all the time. i tried it from a 60 kick and it did wonderful. it does fine going from a stop until i reach around 100 or so, then it sounds like its gonna come apart. could my boost actuator have any thing to do with it? ive got it turned up real high.( i mean a 1\8 to a 1\4 inch off the stop.) im just real worried about it. ever since i put the pulley on i havent had anything but problems. if any of you know a tuner around tennessee or north alabama that could look at it i really would appreciate it.

Like Don said tr6's gapped at .40. You might also need a better fuel pump in order to provide the extra fuel needed with a 5#, so you don't starve the engine for fuel.

i put the truck in drive, put it to the floor, runs fine until it shifts from second to drive. ive gone from a 60mph kick and it does fine. i guess it builds more boost from a dead stop than from a 60 kick,i dont know

Can we say LEAN!!!If it still does it with the trs in it you are to lean and it is pinging!!!Cyl temps are getting to high that is why it takes you till 100 to start to notice it.With your foot in it that long the cyl's have absorbed all the heat they can and they are telling you that.I know from experience on that one.Stan
