who is selling completely assembled short blocks? im just wandering bout a possible winter project this year. i wanna buy a completely assembled one and replace mine instead of rebuilding it. how much do these short blocks run (if they exist)?

Personally I would purchase a new block, crank, and get the manley rods and piston kit from PSP. Think its around 1800$ for the rods/pistons ect, and the block was 550ish and crank was 250ish. If you search for crank+part+number you can prolly find it quickly. Might cost ya a bit more to do this, but in hte end you would have a MUCH better basis for your toy.

I'm wasn't sure what I would do with a spare stock motor, so I rebuilt my existing. Either way you go, I would buy Manley rods, good pistons, ARP head studs, ARP main studs, and plasma moly rings. I would probably go .030 over also. Strokers, cams, and heads are probably going to be the next popular upgrades in the near future. Here are the parts that I currently have:

thanks guys, once again. sounds like i may give jim a call in the future this fall. jim are any of your motors stroked anymore than stock? whats the price tag on one of these babies without a core. i wanna take my truck somewhere where they already have my new engine built and ready and drive the bolt there and stay for a couple of days 2-4 and drive it back with my new one. u guys think thats possible?
