I got the FASTEST truck* at F150online

Well boys, the partys now over and I claim the crown for the fastest EXPY at F150online and I'm a "newbie" to drag racing to boot!!!

Yes it was me (yes the glotting is intentional) with the best run of the day in the Expy/Gator class

BTW, whats the best way to get the rubber off both my rear fenders? I am now well on my way to wearing out my current tires, any suggestions for replacements?

Well. . . I posted it here because I intend to keep the crown and would like some advise from the BIG BOYS in helping me do it.

BTW, the crown was stolen by me at the F150online / Performance Products National Rally Drag Strip event held at Virginia Motorsports Park today.

Best of six runs was

.762-------Reaction Time
2.329-----60' time
16.369----1/4 mile time
82.46------mph

Temps reached 95 with 98% humidity

I know I could do better but I had to leave early to be at a birthday party for my Goddaughter.

BTW II, I even beat a F150 supercab 4.6L that had a ATI/Procharger Blower (he just couldn't control wheel spin and I rolled on across the line first )

Any way, can you all help?

Well Tally, in case you didn't note from my earlier post signature I am not running NOS, underdrive pulleys, straight pipes and electric fans. . . but I am sure that if I just add the 75HP NOS I could quite you down a little, and your Reg Cab 6 has a 800-1000 lbs advantage over my Expy you know 15.8 isn't very far away!!!

Like I said earlier, The Lightning forum (just look at the post compared to the Expy/Navi forum) has much more Drag experiance then any where else on the web, hince my post here, besides, I wouldn't want to ask a Expy/Gator owner how to prtect my crown from them now would I?

To top it off, ScottyBones did 15.96 in the 1/4......huuummm, last I check math, 15.96 was faster then 16.369.
To top it off ScottyBones is a 4x4, all beit with more mods.

Small tip, next time you go posting in the L forum, try to clarify your titles a little bit better, b/c last time I checked a L was still a truck.....or truck* as it were.

1. ScottyBones is SuperCharged. . he also didn't make it to the Rally. . . . This crown (F150online / Performance Products National Rally) has to be WON on the track, not by links to a past post on the web site If he would have went to the Rally and run he may have beat me and the braging rights would be his. . . as it happened There wasn't a Expy/Gator there that could beat me

2. Got your attention though didn't it and by the way sscully, what kind of numbers are you running with your L?

Wink

My Tahoe is quicker than your Expi. and it only has a few mods too. And it is a very large 4x4 with 32's all the way around.
I figured it was a slug, but comparing it to another SUV it isn't to bad.
Bill
Here is my only run from wednesday night.

RT: .......625
60'........2.463
330.......6.873
1/8........10.539
mph.......67.32
1000......13.677
1/4........16.310
mph.......85.69

Humm . . . scarbough, me wednesday night . . . I dought it was as hot and humid as when I made my run here in central va today. . . and you have "experiance" at the strip as well . . humm. . . You should have come and brought your tatoe. . oh yea, It's not a Ford so I STILL would have been the winner of the Expy/Gator class

Just Kidding, I too think it broadering rediculous, me burning at least 20,000 miles worth of GoodYear wranglers in the water box (but the crowd loved it, I guess tire smoke is tire smoke and I put up a pretty big cloud)

Run whatcha brung, and have fun! is what I say...

Did you throw out any seats that you could, drop the spare, hitch, ect...? If you're just looking for et, stage shallow, and get a running start. Pump up the front tires for less rolling resistance, fold back the mirrors, only have a 1/4 tank of gas, and wax it good. If all else fails, you've got acres of sheet metal to put stickers on, that should be good for 300-400 hp.
