I dont know where you have been sleeping in the modular motor world, but your looking at $7-8K for a bottom end built modular done PROPERLY.
Someone is raping your *** pretty damn good... how does it feel?

I am rebuilding my 4.2 for $1,700. I am building it myself, other than all the necassary machine work. And it IS done right.

JE pistons with wrist pins and rings
Manley H beam 4340 rods
Shotpened and hydrofluxed 4.2 crank
(or you can use the 3.8 supercoupe forged crank)

btw, the 4.2 F-150, and the 3.8L Mustang are the same motor, other than different front setup, upper intake, and stroke.

When you gonna have that stang together, I would love to her run.
You can hear a naturally aspirated 3.8 mustang with a fresh cam/ported head and intake swap. only other exhaust mods are true duals with flowmaster 40's.

I helped him last saturday installing it and I took some video when he fired it up.

that's me telling him to rev it up.
