Advice Needed on Engine problem

I did forget to mention in your other thread that I also had the slight 'tapping/exhaust leak" noise before this happened to my number 5.
I was stupid enough to think it was a exhaust leak...
And after ckecking the plugs that day, I also had 2 that were finger tight. And with only 4-5 threads holding these plugs in, iy would only take a little boost to BLOW them out."
Btw, our engs. don't have lifters; they have "valve followers" according to Sal.

actually they are called cam followers, and the lifters are called hydraulic valve lash adjusters. Like I said before, the easiest way to find the problem is to use a piece of vaccuum hose, or if you have a friend with a mechanics stethascope. Pin point it to a certain area before you start taking it apart. I work on these engines everyday and I know they are no joy to work on.
