Thumbs up I am a rookie..........

Just bought a 2002 true blue "L",and i love it!!!!!!!! Are there any special tips/tricks,i should know about?When should i do my first oil change?

I can't think of any tip's/tricks right now. But I can tell you that you bought the best color... Good luck with it.

CONGRATS!! Let the washings begin.

There is alot of info on this board. And i am no gear head but on your first oil change..You will probably get alot of different information and bias's.

I truly believe that just follow the manufacturers suggestions. You can go every 5,000 if you want..As long as your not driving down country roads!!

I believe the 3,000 mi oil change is and always will be hype..but thats just my opinion. (probably spurring some replies with that one.)

But if you just keep it regular you'll be fine. Keep them tires rotated!! and Congrats..

SVT ky,what are the benefits of the cobra r water pump,and the electric fan?just curious.P.S, MY BUDDY JUST BOUGHT HIM A RED 2K2 TONIGHT!I GUESS ITS CATCHING!!

The Cobra R water pump is a lot lighter, and more efficient than the stock pump. As for the electric fan, removing the stock fan results in 15 lb's less rotating mass from the engine (I believe?)... and the electric fan just runs off electricity rather than the engine. It give a 10hp or so gain I think? Dunno. Im sure someone will tell you about the gains.
