Question Anyone have pics of painted side mirrors?

I still have extra paint laying around, so I am starting to go "paint crazy" If it's plastic, I want to paint it...
Anyone have any pics of painted side mirrors, preferably on a Red L
Or anyone ever photoshop that?

You ever think about smoothing and painting the side steps?

When you say 'paint the side mirrors', do you mean just the cover. That's already done on the 01-02's I believe. Atleast on my truck. Or do you mean the whole triangle plastic piece + the mirror cover and all?

I think he means the rest of mirror assembly, the black part.

loosebolt, I tried photoshoping a pic at work earlier today, but it didn't look right. Maybe I'll try it again.

He has an 01 Bolt, so he means the rest of the black part on the mirror. I would also like to see how this would look.

Hmmm... It looks ok. After painting everything the truck color, it becomes single toned. Im not sure it would look right IMO. dunno.

here is a picture of my truck, obviously a different color, but the side steps and bed rails are matched to the same color. I think it would look great!

Actually, that does look pretty good. Hmmm, and I guess it would look real nice if you were to change the mirror's to orange too. I take back what I said previously.

Hey CrazyFoo, tx for the photoshop.
I think I agree with Mecca in that I don't know if I like it on a solid red truck. Maybe on a radical paint job, it would blend better, but on red, I don't see enough contrast....need to think about this one

If anyone wants just the new 01/02 covers, fordpartsonline.com has them for about $40 each already painted. I heard they are a minor P.I.T.A. to change though. I think it would cost more than that to have someone paint them for you if you couldn't do it yourself.
