Gauge Installs
Does anyone know a place in the northeast(new england) that would be willing to finish a gauge install? (and knows about lightnings heh)
I have a few autometer gauges, the boost one I can install no problem it cant be any easier.. however my air/fuel and trans temp make me nervous Im ok with this stuff, but I dont wanna mess anything up.
Any suggestions? Or has anyone done this before?
Thanks :]

Hamma,
Don't be afraid to do it, it's easier than you think.
For the air/fuel you will need a wire tap which basically lets you tap into the other wire (Home Depot). What you have to do is look for the black wire on the driver side 02 sensor which is located behind the front left tire next to the heat shield. Just splice into the black wire like I said and run the wires to the cab.
For the trans temp, no drilling into the pan is required! On the drivers side there is a pipe plug that can be removed and the sending unit will go right in, it's 1/8 NPT. It should be just above the pan rail, about midway up the case. Basically its just ake the old one out and put the sender in its place, nothing else required! The best part is when you take it out no fluid spills out.
Hope this helps!

Thanks guys, especially for that pic heh. Looking easier Never been very mechanical, can fix any computer problems though
Quick question about the gauges.. I picked up the Lunar series.. for the power, is there somewhere you can go where they will dim with the panel, or do you have to go to the fuses?
