Is the 2lb lightning upper the stock lightning pulley ? Or is it a metco upper that is smaller yet ?

Numbers seem amazing....

i was suprised myself.willie from diablo was there tuning my chip.
i expected maybe 390rwhp.the air fuel was 11.4
So you will know, I bet you still have Torque Reduction "ON". Ask Willie if he turned if off (I bet he didn't). Also, ask him if he increased your line pressure in your transmission w/ the chip! I bet he did. That's a big no no.

Tell him you want your shift durations down at about 200ms instead of increasing line pressure. It's the safe way.

FWIW, guys, the Harley basically makes the EXACT same power as the Lightning when it has the Lightning upper on it.

Do you have any graphs from chip to chip?

I've seen guys claim suspiciously high numbers with Ls and some of these same people congratulating them. I know of one guy on this forum, at least, that claims 400+ rwhp with only a custom chip (Danny Swanson) and an after-market MAF (Pro-M I believe). I won't mention his name, he doesn't post his mods on the boards because of warranty loss fears. There are plenty of Ls out there that claim 400-500 club with less lbs of boost and no custom tune by the guys from Diablosport. This sounds less unbelieveable to me than many of the kill stories posted here. There are a lot of stock LS1 Killas out there.

I say way to go man. Enjoy you're ride and ignore the guys who can't stand the fact that the L is not the be all, end all in the evolution of sport trucks. I hope it's not. There's plenty of room for improvement.

I think alot of people are missing the fact that it was Willie Figueroa, from South Florida that tuned it. Willie is a great tuner, and I wouldn't be surprised by those numbers at all.

Geez, everyone yells bullshiit if it wasn't one of the great 3 tuners that did it, and it turns out more than theirs.

Great job harleybull, and great job Willie!

Both of the two 2002 HD's I looked at, had a longer but single Drive shaft...not a two piece. (and ran almost as good as my Lightning) How about it Harleybull? Yours is a one piece drive shaft eh?

my driveshaft is a 2 piece.for all that think this is bs how do you
do your math?????????my truck made 8lbs with a 5lb lower i
than added a 2lb on a L upper it now makes 12lbs as soon as you
floor it.my truck is still slower than about 90% of L's out there.
today i ran 13.75 at 99.94 with a 2.02 60ft about 20 mins of cooldown.i ran 14.27 at 96.26 with nearly the same conditions.
before upper pulley and retune.sorry for the disbelief i have no
reason to bs anybody.

Check the mods these new members to the 400/500 club had. The responses to their success are a little different. These are just the ones I found with the first search parameters I used.

It seems you have to be driving an L, or the jealous types just can't handle your accomplishments. Nice numbers still.

I have known and worked with the "Bull" for many years now and he didn't get the nickname from slinging crap. He is lucky enough to have access to a top notch dyno facility and happens to be connected to the right people when he needs help in a tune, ie Wille, one of his customers. When he called me this morning from the track he was excited as his truck was running very well for the conditions and modifications he has done so far but he was also disapointed because a few memebers of this board had decided he was a liar and full of crap. When he told me the dyno figures I was sort of shocked as HE WAS (reread his first post he was hoping for 390 rwhp) but none the less that is what they recorded. It simply amazes me that people on these bulliten boards are so quick to doubt or perhaps are just jealous when someone accomplishes something that they thought couldn't be done. To me car crafting or truck modding, ect is a hobby, I like tinkering with my toys no matter what they are and who made them. It's a form of self expression but it's still a hobby not to be taken seriously in my opinion. Hopefully someday we'll all relax a bit and learn to enjoy the knowledge we can learn from one another as that is what I feel the true intent of these bulletin boards are for.

Off the soap box and back to the couch.

Then that explains it He is hands down the best tuner in the country, not to mention has tuned something like 15,000+ vehicles.

My tuner is supposed to be getting willie out here for a 10 car dyno session. My truck included.
