How do you people do this?

How do you people do this?
Ok, i've was bitten by the mod bug some time ago, the affects never wore off. I have only had my truck for 15 days and it has almost 700 miles. How do you people drive your Lightnings with so few mods for so long? I am wanting to get to around 3,000 to 5,000 miles and then start the modding. The waiting is killing me.

Self control and a lack of funds.... I still have my 1994 lightning also and I only installed a bassani cat-back on it because the other muffler failed. Timing has never been touched. I think having my blown stang at the same time helped a little too. I just turned 4500 miles on my '02 and like you I am starting to want to mod the truck. Starting with a cold air chip, pulley, etc... are all in the future. Looking for the cold air first any ideas?

Ya what are you waiting for. I had my 02 less than a week and it was already chipped for the first time (now on 4th reburn). By week 4 the Cool Air Induction, by week 6 the Boost By-Pass, and Crankcase Breather, this week it was the new Dial-Ur-Boost Upper Pulley and a fresh re-burn on the Diablo. Next will be probaly the Single Blade Throttle Body and a 2" lowering kit. Just hit 4,000 miles this week. WHY WAIT ???

But if all of y'all are wndering why i'm trying to wait I want to wait for the brake in peroid then I intend to dyno the truck in stock form and go from there. I am also trying to build my bank account back up from the monster down payment I had to make to get this truck, which thats going to take a few months.

Hey good things come to those who wait. I waited 13 weeks for my rims and i couldnt be happier . As for dynoing the truck stock then again with the mods that sounds like a good idea as you can actully see what the mods have done for you. Also im sure alot of people including me would be interested in what numbers you get.
