Angry PSP did it again......

Well I finally ordered my Billstien shock upgrade( 3 weeks ago) and got them today. With A nice little surprize: My E-mail conformation showed the sale price of 160.00 for a set of 4 with no shipping or handling charges, keep in mind you can get them from fordparts online for around 170.00 including the rear nuts and shipping. So here's my surprize, shocks: 160.00, shock nuts:20.00 and handling a wopping 38.10. thats $218.10 and it took better than 3 weeks to get them. now the customer service, Sal and his less than personable receptionist are away (Again) and won't be back till the 13 th. hmmm I wonder how long it will take to get this matter resolved?Sorry to vent, but the problem I had with my first order should have taught me a lesson. I was willing to give them another chance....... burned again. has anyone else experienced these kinda problems too? please tell me I'm not alone.

To answer your question, yes this has happened many times . Poor customer service used to be discussed on this board in an open and frank manner. It served notice to vendors who were dropping the ball and got them back on the stick.

Then the age of darkness fell upon the board. Supporting vendors were given brave new powers and to question them was reason enough to be ridiculed by various factions within the f150online realm. Moderators boomed out commands that thou shalt not criticize online, do it in private. Magicaly there are no longer problems with vendors.

Welcome to the age of the online infomercial, and let the buyer beware.

I didn't order from ford parts online cause I hadn't done a F-150 search until I was ready to install. I did search the web for pricing and PSP had the best price.... at 160.00 not 218.00. when I've purchased from online vendors they are always upfront about shipping. and My chip and valve body from PSP included shipping in the price quote, not so this time.

It's not even ok to say anything about non-supporting vendors when you get bad service. That is why I only read and very rarely post anymore. If ANY vendor does a poor job of customer service and you bitch about it the "can't we all just get along" and "I just want to read positive post" police come out of the wood work. I still enjoy this board but I never learn who's taking care of their customers anymore! In the old days (1999-2000) you could find out about Sal not returning e-mails or phone calls (or shipping filter kits) for weeks on end, and you would have read about Jim at JDM telling lies, and charging your credit card for lower pulley's that he said would "be in next week" for months. But I guess the majority of members like it better this way. The problem was allways when you posted about getting bad service FROM ANY TUNER someone that thought that tuner WALKED ON WATER would get pissed and then the name calling started. For some reason people thought that if you posted anything bad about their tuner that meant you thought they were a dumba$$ for buying from them. Why should any one of us be in love with our tuner and not see their faults? I wish we could hear about all good and bad experiences without getting some tuners supporters upset! Sorry for the long post.

I'm personally thankfull when I hear of bad service, so I don't get the same treatment. I also like to hear good when it is. If you are getting charged more than you should, maybe it was a mistake, but if it happens to more than 3-4 people it's too common and we should have a forum to let each other know.

Thanks for the info.

You darn well know he's away, and you know nothing can be done until he gets back, so if you really want to resolve this why are you taking shots at him? Your post looks like you really just want to whine and complain.

You expect him to bend over backwards to please you when you have aired a grievance with the world FIRST, before he even has a chance to get back in town and make it right? Yeah he'll be real happy to take care of you now that you stuck it to him.

Oh and good luck buying from Fordparts online, when you have a tech question, smarty pants. Maybe if you are lucky they'll transfer you to Waldo the shop sweeper and all his knowledge. That's why it pays to support our vendors even if the cost is a little higher.

Any by the way, I still have bought not a single part from PSP for my own truck. With the vendors I use, when there is a problem, I act like an adult and deal with it until it gets resolved. And it always gets resolved. MY momma always tole me, You catch more flies with honey than vinegar

It could be a misunderstanding but people would rather wine about it till something gets done or cleared up. Everybody wines about the vendors and jumps the gun and thrashes their vendors on the web. People say there is alot of bad business practices and customer services from these vendors. The vendors can't do a damn thing right it seems. JDM for example is at almost every Ford event supporting us and the Ford movement. Get no time to rest and go right back to building hot rods monday through friday. I would love to do what JDM does all week. Work on the coolest trucks around, run down the strip at 12 secs. a whack numerous times, and act like a 14 year old in a porno shop running my own performance shop. I would not want to deal with all the b/s that's also involved with it. I on the other hand understand that it is in no way an easy job to deal with the L public. Do almost all you can for your public until someone says your co. sucks. Survive the internet crusification for a few days than start all over again. Keyboard muscles i think. I wonder now if all the vendors do work their asses off to help us and we as the consumers stick it right up their *** after thay just took a half second off of our ET. AS ALL YOU VENDORS ALREADY KNOW: JUST KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING AND GIVES US THE PARTS WHEN WE NEED THEM. JUST REMEMBER IF MY PACKAGE IS HERE ON WEDNESDAY AND NOT TUESDAY, I WILL TELL EVERYBODY THAT YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE TOTALLY SUCKS AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY CLOSE UP SHOP ASAP. I'LL SHOW YOU. It just makes me wonder how old some of you guys are who own L's. Why can't someone just wait to discuss it with the vendor personally? I would so i don't look like an *** if i'm wrong. I'm just old fashioned i guess.

I feel like I shoud
boomed out commands
here somewhere.

As long as the members dont attack each other and they post their experiences rather than 3rd hand bashing .... the exchange is healthy

I do think that it would be sensible to wait till the vendor is in town before bashing them for not responding.

I totally agree, Doug! You couldn't have said it more clearly.

You know, this past Thursday or Friday I called Sal to order his FASTair kit. I got the voice messager saying he'd be out of town till Tuesday. Sure, I said "Damnit!", but I also sat back and thought, "I like to have a life sometimes, too!".

Sal, if you're reading this: You're website does state 160.00 and never mentions anything about shipping or shock nuts the whole way through the ordering process. When you get a chance you may want to consider upgrading that, or removing the store front altogether until you can get shipping/weight calculations implemented on it. Just trying to give you some helpful advice

I guess you live in that perfect world that we all dream of, when your never busy and never make mistakes. Did you ever think of trying to settle this matter with sal personally before you go out of your way to bash im online? I personally hope he tells you to fu*k off. So you would have saved a few dollars by buying them off fordparts online. Next time do it. And next time you are having trouble with your truck and cant figure it out I wouldent suggest calling sal for help. Posting sh*t like this is totally uncalled for. I have only met Sal 1 or 2 times and have never bought anything from him but I can tell you he doesnt deserve any of this.
