what the hell is up with that snorkle (intake plenum)?

...
And that doesn't look like the eaton. Works or just a different snout?

I will say this: That box is the exact same as his current one, just that it has a top on it. Wonder what that could mean? It does look as if putting a top on it will not be hard, though.

Jeff, here's some old/new pix:

Looks as if it uses the stock fender opening instead of an additional tube. No more cutting up of the fender liner.

It's a custom KB plenum, and the original KB blower.

For those who are interested, I just placed my order w/ Sue for this new setup. All of it is the same except that there is no longer a tube running down through the fender. You'll now have a hookup to the fender opening similar to a JDM kit. You will still have the tube that runs down from the bottom of the box down to the ram-air scoop. No more rubbing your tires, esp. for your 20" plus guys and HD owners. Johnny's testing showed no loss of e.t. at the track w/ this new setup.

Also, the cover is an option and will be approx. $10 bucks to $15. I ordered mine w/ the cover. The covers will fit your existing box, so if you want to order one give Sue a call. NOTE: They will NOT be in until next week sometime (the covers).

Hope this helps

BFB,

What do you mean no loss of et at the track? Loss as compared to what, the older version or stock air box? The kit looks great but in Florida I have to drive thru too many deep puddles and I'm afraid the scoop would force the water into the filter. Can it be placed behind the grill? Thanks?

OOPS!!! Yeah, thanks for clarifying that!

Remember, that this kit is NOT a sealed kit unless you have the lid on, and even there it isn't airtight. You can take the lid on/off. The lid is optional anyways.
