please help... need black & white SVT logo in .TIF format?
Hi everyone, I know this isn't directly lightning, but at least it's not about my dog .
I need a scan/picture of the SVT logo.
It must be black & white and in the IBM .TIF format.
If anyone has this or knows where I can get one, I'd be eternally indebted.
I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about, but here is an example sortof without the lightning logo though.
I need it so I can e-mail to someplace in Michigan to put on my business cards. Don't ask me why my dealership gets business cards from Michigan when I'm in Virginia, but whoever they are, they don't have the svt logo on file and my only other option is to snail them a brochure or sticker or something.
I'm sure there is probably some easy way to convert this or a similar larger file to .TIF, but I don't know how.
thanks in advance for any help,
chris

Here ya go, in PC (IBM style) format and MAC format (a lot of Graphics companies use MAC):

http://www.lightningforums.com/images/svtmac.tif
(right click, save as...or you can let Quicktime open it w/in I.E.)

WAIT! oh crap, I just saved it and opened it and it is all blocky, what do I do, is it because the sample I posted was not clear or too small?
help
wait a minute, now when I post it here it looks normal??? when I view it on my computer it is huge? sorry I'm a computer reject, let me go investigate further and see if I can resize it or something.

Do NOT resave the file I sent you as a .jpg. That totally defeats the purpose.
The reason it shows it "HUGE" is because when you open a .tif file in Windows it will use "Imaging Preview" and scale it automatically to "Fit to Width" (which means your computer screen!). Just click on "Zoom" and hit "100%" at the top. You need Adobe Photoshop
All you need to worry about is sending in the .tif file as is. Do not modify it, just email or whatever to him just as is.

One more important thing:
Right click on the pc format above and hit "Save as"...now in the file name box add this to the end of it:
.tif (dot tif) and save it.
The reason why is because if you let windows auto save it as is, then it will be saved as a .tiff (extra f) and photoshop will not recognize it as a TIF file. You'd have to go to File, Open As, and open the file as a TIF w/in Photoshop. It's just more trouble so when you save it do as I said and add in the .tif to the end of the filename. This may save the company that's doing this for you some headaches.
