Umm, after taking a second look at the pic, your grille seems to BLOCK OFF air flow?

Umm, after taking a second look at the pic, your grille seems to BLOCK OFF air flow? Not really the ss grilles are pretty free flowing grilles. I haven't had a bit of trouble with mine.
Do they replace the plastic grille or go over it? Yes they do recommend that, but I didn't use it.
