NEED HELP : Cannot get belt on 4# pulley

Just installed the PSP 4#, install went completely fine untill the VERY LAST STEP. PUTTING THE BELT ON. Its a K080675 for a 4# pulley (It was sent w/ pulley) . Even with the tensioner cranked all the way down.........it is not going over the upper pulley lip.

Please Help. Any hints or anything on getting the belt back on is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Well the 'fix' i used was put breaker bar on idler, and Crank on it down a few times and it will snap off the piece that prevents it from moving far enough. Very very easy and works well. Other way is call sal and order the longer belt, he now supplies them with the new pulelys.

Brandon
PS i did the first method and it works great

Put your breaker bar or tensioner tool on and pull the tensioner all the way till it stops. Then give it a few good tugs and you will snap off a tiny casting nub that sticks out and that will give you another inch of throw on the tensioner.

Thanks for the quick responses. I ended up taking off the right idler pulley, getting the belt over the upper pulley (still tight fit), then it had enough slack to just screw back on the idler pulley. Everything is good now

Thanks for the 4 extra psi Sal.
