Few pics of L on the track...

Just a few pics of the L and my car at the track...I enjoy driving the truck, kinda like driving a fast sofa. But I still prefer the car.

Looks good, luv the truck! Sorry to be a soar thumb but I have to ask, whats the gray film stuff on your head lights in one of the L pix? And did you paint over the headlights on the mustang or use the translucent spray?

Thanks, the car has 311rwhp/374rwtq. It weighs around 3000#. The suspension is a mixture of mostly Griggs Racing with a few pieces from Maximum and Steeda. All of the Ford/Saleen pieces are long gone. The covers on the Mustang headlights are lexan that has been painted white. The Silver on the Lightning is tape. I have used the Lightning in 5 open track events while the Saleen has seen over 30 track events.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you tape the lights? I saw the stang next to you also had color lights, is this a rule of the track?

Lights used to get taped because if they were to get hit by debris or stones they would put glass down on the track. Now that most lights are of some form of plastic, it is to save the cost of replacing them. They don't usually shatter like glass onto the track, but the tape keeps them from cracking further or getting little chip marks all over them. The new lights in recent years are very expensive and anything that keeps them together is good. Plus the color options are pretty cool

That kinda looks like Sears Point in the background. Do you ever go to the Wed night Drags?
