Finished up my second attempt at an oil separator

And I have to say this one seems to be much more of improvement and overall better then the first idea.

http://captainoblivious.tripod.com/truck/separator.html

... as before please ignore popups, I have no choice on them

More testing will be done as the week goes on.

Jay Lincoln - I copied your whole idea just used a different filter and smaller lines. Thanks!!!!

Nice job, Capt ... Kinda complicated compared to stuffing the 7/16" ball bearing in the hose

That would be tripod. You guys exceeded my hourly limit of bandwidth Annoying, but it's free web hosting.

How much for you to install one on my truck
Total price was almost $60.
Filter - $30
2 pre-formed hoses - $6 and $7
heater hose - $5
1/2"x3/8" (2) - $2
plastic holder (2 pack) $5
5/8"x2/3" nylon barb $1.20
1/2"x1/2" brass barb - $1.40
+ some misc stuff around in the garage

SVT_KY - I know, I know. But I wanted everything to still be functional

The separator looks similar to the one in the REM kit. I just installed the REM kit, and with less than 10 miles of (moderate-hard) driving, filled it up about half-way.

Bruce and Vin - buy the parts and I'll you guys with the install.

topsy - this is the rem kit right?

If so, the filter in the REM kit appears to be the smaller Amflo filter, I used one size larger.

I agree... that looks just like the REM setup which was cheaper and already assembled (well I might add).
