Thumbs down I have to arm my alarm in my own driveway?

On my way out to go pick up my truck from the alignment shop, I stopped and talkd to my neighbor. On monday morning(between 2-5am) his late80s-early90s(not sure of the year) mustang LX hatchback was broken into while the car was parked in his driveway!! They jacked his stero and almost everything in the car. Now I live in a city of about 30k people where a cat stuck in a tree is a big event for the fire dept. I live in a court where nothing ever goes on. I would have never imgained anything like this happening. Granted, someones car getting broken into is not really that big of a deal unless you own the car, but still. Now I have to arm my trucks alarm in my own freakin driveway!! whats this place coming to.

sorry, had to rant:o
