Is this safe?!

Was at the local parts store today and 02 Harley truck pulls in and we started talking bla bla he has a 4# pulley on his truck without a chip. Is that safe to be running that around for a daily driver? I have heard 2# would be safe but haven't heard with the 4's. Let me know guys maybe I should flag him down again if I see him...

Yes and no. A 4# for the harley is like a 2# for ours,But a chip is always better.

Well then is it safe for our trucks to run a 4# without a chip?

No, we need a chip in our lightnings for anything over 2 pounds of boost.

What I am saying is 4# for a harley is really only 2# more then an Ls since the harley starts out with 6# and the Ls have 8# of boost.
People have been known to run a 2# lower pulley on an L without a chip and still be safe.So running a 4# in a harley should be O.K..But again I said a chip would be better.

Does that make sense.
