The 01-02s sit way higher in the back. Why, I have no clue. Ford claims nothing is changed in the suspension except the shocks.

My 99 sat nice and level. My 01 sat like some 18 year olds high school Camaro with air shocks. The first mod I did to the 01 was a 2" rear drop.

My fathers '99 sat lower than my stock '01. I put the belltech drop shackles on his truck and it bottomed out. That has never happened with my '01. ??

From the data I've collected, it's the shocks.

Oh, I also forgot to mention I took the shocks and bump stops off of my truck ('01) and put them all on his truck ('99).

I think also the fact that the suspension has settled quite a bit from driving the 99-00's... The newer L's just haven't settled...

Did I also forget to mention that my fathers truck has 1/2 the miles my truck does.

Is that because the 99-00's are not gas charged?

I think it is the springs. I took my '01 springs off when I switched to the roush springs. Since they had the aluminum bushing in the front eye I gave them to my buddy with a '00 to use with his Cal-tracs. His truck sits higher than it did before the switch.

I've heard the Cal-tracs will raise up the rear a noticeable amount

I measured the height before and after installing the OEM 01/02 Bilstien shocks on my 99. There was no change at all. I have the 2" Beltech's on the rear and it almost sits level, the rear is slightly higher. I have noticed the 01 and 02's are noticeably higher in the rear end for some reason.
