Cool Back to the Track.....getting better

Well my Factory Tech VB didn't arrive but it was too nice of a night not to go to the track. So I'm am still BONE stock with a Snuglid. Some guy had a massive heart attack while racing and had to be airlifted out. Then a dragster lost it at about the 1/8 mile and rolled a few times and hit the wall. Then a Camaro blew its engine and left oil all over the track. Then a guy in a Vette slammed into the wall. I was wondering if maybe I should just go back home. But I didn't. I ran a new best time and remember this is still bone stock.

60'---1.936
1/4---13.527 @ 100.90

Hell I'm so much fun getting these stock times down that I may never mod!!!

I almost did call it a night but my only way out of the facility was down the track. When my first run turned out a 13.667 (my best at the time) with a 2.063 60' I knew I couldn't just leave. I had to get a run with a 60' below 2.000. So I lined up one more time. The temperature according to my overhead console was 60F and of course the results showed it. 1.936 -- 13.527 @ 100.90

Great times wendy! I would have been terrified to go after all that bad stuff happened. They should make a shirt like the ones they have at theme parks that say "I survived the track"

Excellent times Wendy. I plan on hitting the track tomorrow. I am excited about this cooler weather we have been having lately. It should be in the 60s late Friday. Anyway, I was wondering how you launched your truck? Did you brake torque at all or just roll into the throttle gently? I have yet to get sub-2 second 60' times but hopefully tomorrow!

Launch

I powerbrake or brake torque to just over 1500rpm and simultaneously smash the gas and lift the brake on the last yellow light. My reaction times still suck but I'm not trying to improve them just yet . Drive around the water in the burnout box if you can. I spin the tires just to warm them and sling off any water I couldn't dodge. DON'T DO A FULL TIRE SMOKING BURNOUT. Try 25psi in the F1's that was good for me.
