Whistle noise from under the hood? And stock exhaust question.

I think the whistle noise is coming from the alternator trying to recharge your battery because it gets so low each night. under load the alternators will whine/whistle. Maybe youv'e had this battery/power problem since day one?
Just some more thoughts from my mechanical experience background.
