Well, Since Ford has both the Lightning and the Harley - Why not have both Chebbys as well?

Damn its ugly and **** "Chevrolet recently announced pricing for the Silverado SS starting at around $39,000." Chevy is stupid.

the interior could use some work, but the back looks mean as hell! Rather have a lightning though

I think it looks nice... I've always prefered the Silverado to the F150... Lightnings and brand loyalty aside, you have to admit that the Silverado is an all-around better truck.
Anyway... 395 HP sounds pretty good. I love the wheels... The interior will be better than the Lightning's... The only thing Chevy did wrong was waiting until that stupid (ugly) redesign of the headlights.
39,000... that's for the ext cab... Isn't that what the Ford Harley Davidson runs? The article said that the reg cab will be under $30,000.
While the SRT-10 is in a different price class all together... this SS is different. This is competition.

I am all for them producing this truck. I think it looks pretty good. Those rims sure do look familiar don't they?? I think having some competition on the road is a good thing. They need to put some carpet in there, sheesh it wont cost that much, needs an arm rest too. I love the exhaust! I have never been a huge fan of the Lightning side exit exhaust. I guess we will just have to wait and see if we have a classic yet new Chevy vs. Ford rivalry coming up soon!

GM Trucks are always so boxxy and squared out. It's like they are stuck in the 70's. :o

Bingo! You hit the ol' nail on the head. Lo tech, especially the interiors. Still made for large, cigar-smokin salesmen. No offense to those in that category.

Chevy too boxy? What about the F150 redesign next year? Looks boxy to me. Face it, the current F150 rounded style is getting old. I like the short bed SS but don't think they'll ever make it with a rollpan. Granted, the interior looks sparce.. needs carpet and two tone leather seats. Other than that, cool truck. Competition IS good!

Finally some competition. To bad they would have those cool blower noises under the hood.

Thumbs down

I like some GM cars and trucks, but what the heck are they thinking. No carpet, cheap a$$ bench seat and no special interior design. I looks like they spent enough time on the engine, but foregot about the interior and then at the last minute they just threw in spare interior components. I can just picture the designers at the last minute, "I thuoght you were working on the interior." "No I thought you were."

that SS pickup is nasty, the interior is supposed to be sparse, its a muscle truck! you dont see leather in the interiors of our trucks. damn just when i go out and buy a sweet truck from the blue oval, GM pulls their head out of their a$$ and starts making all these nasty cars and SS versions of everything. WTF
