O2 Simulator

O2 simulator, what are the ups and downs. I'm planning to install a set headers, cut-outs and dual exhaust on my 2002 HD. Does the O2 simulator accurately adjust A/F as if there were a cat on the truck?

i have a set of them, alls they do is plug in line with the rear set of 02 sensors, what they do is trick the pcm into thinking that the cats are working fine. the sensors arent there to read a/f ratio, thats what the first 2 right behind the manifolds are there for. the ones you are trying to trick are behind the cats. as far as i know, i dont think there are any draw backs to using them.

to my understanding is that the lightning has 4 cats and 4 o2 sensors so if i want to remove the cats how many 02 sims would i have to buy? or better yet are the first set of cats before or after the first set of o2 sensors?

thanks

Best to have a tuner reprogram the ecu and turn the rears off
