Clarification?
OK-
Exactly what are all these tranny mods that can be made?
Line pressure is pretty clear... Is it necessary to raise the line pressure if you use the FT Line Mod Valve?
What is the stock "torque reduction" programming doing exactly? Is this the shutting down of 4 cylinders during WOT?
What about moving the shift points around? I know most tuners program the shift points to "allow" the tranny to downshift more radically at WOT in the 20-40 range.... Is that what's frying 2nd gear?

Who told you it's impossible to smoke a tranny without mods? If you know how to do it, (and I do) you can burn up the tranny at will, with no mods. It's not even that hard to do.
Chips are hard on the intermediate clutch, at stock they're about at the limit, a few mods and you'll toast 2nd gear pretty easily.

BTW, I would have done the same thing you did if I could get away with it.
