quick question about shackle install

I am planning on doing the 1/2 frpp kit and I have been reading that everyone is jacking up the rear of the truck by placing the jack on the hitch and lifting it that way to get all the weight off the suspension. Is there a way around that for someone that doesn't have the hitch attached to their truck anymore? I probably can get access to a lift later on in the week, but is it ok to do the front and leave the rear stock until i get it on the lift? Thanks in advance guys

I think I jacked the truck up by the rear end....As far as doing the front first you wont hurt it ,I think it wil look a little funny....

A little different question for anyone reading this thread. Do you need any special tools for the install? Is it a simple install? What about for the front springs? Has anyone posted a "how to"? Enough questions.
