Hey...

I just wanted to know what are the differences between the stock '93, stock '94, and stock '95 Lightnings. Thanks for any info.

not a whole lot. The 1995 has the SVT logo on the back tailgate
all 1993's have a center console factory and the paint is not clear coated.
1994's have clear coated paint and the center seat was an option red trucks had painted to match door handles I believe too.

There's a ton of differences, I'll try to list them all, but I'm sure I'll forget some...

93s came in red or black, no clearcoat
94s came red, white, black, clearcoat, red was darker than 93, colormatched door handles
95 came red, white, black, clearcoat, red was same as 93 red but with clear
93 had dark grey interior with cloth like door panel inlays
94-95 had light grey interior with preforated door panel inlays
93 no airbag, 94-95 airbag
93 no 3rd brake light
93 center console
94 center console with jumpseat option in late 94
95 jump seat standard
93-94 had Lightning decals on bedsides and tailgate
95 had SVT badge on tailgate instead of Lightning emblem
95 has "indent" running across door bottoms
93s had grey radiator support
93s have slider front calipers, 94-95 bolt on calipers
93 trans weakest, 94 better, 95 strongest with added OD support bearing
93s had different A/C lines and different alternator than 94-95
93s used FL1A oil filter with different heat exchanger than 94-95
94-95 used 820S oil filter
93s had different radiator and fan shroud than 94-95
93 had different fuel pressure regulator than 94-95
94-95 have roller ready blocks
SOME 93s had roller blocks, but most non-roller
4 different PCMs for the three years

I know there is more, but my memory is rusty. I don't have to tap into my Gen 1 knowledge that often anymore.

Sal is the Gen 1 Guru.....

no S/C just 351 Windsors with GT40 style heads and intake. Unless modified they are really not that impressive as far as straight ahead power. I am by no means an expert, but I do have a 95' and a 00'and I must say that it seems VERY slow compared to my 00'

I had a 94 and the best time i was able to muster at the track was a 15.6. Gen 2's are much faster. They are cool trucks though. I really miss my gen 1.

No supercharger. When my 93 was stock.. the best time i got out of it was a 15.11 and thats one of the faster times for a completely stock gen 1.. They take to modding really well.. I still love mine and hope to never part with it... 93s used Freon.. the 94.. use the new coolant... SAL said it alllllllllllll..

PEACE...................................
