Moving stock rims to the dark side...

As in, making them black... best method?

Local shop will powdercoat mine for $65 each, but they need em for a week. Hate to have the L up on jack stands for so long (my Miata just aint the best work hauler type vehicle).

Anyone have theirs painted? If so, how have they held up?

Still curious about polishing the lip too. Seen someone do it with their car on jackstands in the back, car in gear and tires turning and rough to very fine sandpaper applied. Not sure how clean of a line the resulting polished area would be...
