I only found one company that made 18" snow tires, and they were very pricey. You'd be better off getting a set of 16" or 17" rims and getting tires for those. The cheapest route is 16" steel rims with some 225/75/16 Bridgestone Winter Duelers. That's the route I went with and it was just under $600.

Hmm ok, never though about the 18" snowtire thing. Anyone know a good place to get a cheap set of rims?

I believe Tire Rack can out an entire package together for you including wheels.

Hey Ashenor, there is a place on 9 mile between 75 & Hilton called Main Street Wheel & Tire (I think). Check up there, we got our big ol slicks from there & my sister's body shop uses them all the time.

i think pierrli makes a more "snow" friendly tire in 18's but it would be cheaper for 16's with wheels, check out your local belle tire, or discount tire. and at least get 235/70/16's...... 225's are too thin, and don't have a good payload. 235's are what comes on f150's w/ 16's, or you could go 255's.

I have Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22 255/55-18's. These are HR speed rated. I consider them a great compromise between performance and snow traction. The snow traction on these is good. They are a little costly, I purchased them last fall for about $240 a tire installed.
