Plug question
Alright don't bash me too hard about not being able to do this on my own, but I have never changed a spark plug and I was wondering what was the best way to go about doing it? I am putting in TR6's, should I take it to ford (will ford even do it?), a local performance shop? What should the plugs be gapped at? Will most places know what to gap them at, I mean is there a standard? Please help me out on this one. I just don't want to mess up my truck. Also how often do you change fuel filter, and coil packs?

gap them at .040!! hehehe .40 is HUGE!
As for doing it yourself, in all honesty, if you've never changed plugs before, this isn't the vehicle to learn on, it's a pain. I've changed many plugs since Iwas 15, albeit on '70's cars. But this truck is by far the most difficult _EVER_. Once you've done it once though, it is easy cause you know what to do. The first time took me better half of a saturday, the second time less than an hour.

I felt the same way BUT at the time I didn't know about Chuck's page. Even so, I paid someone who had done it before 50 bucks to change them and let me help. Ended up that I changed most of them with his advice, and still gave him the 50 because the other price I had from the "experienced ASE certified professional" was 3 times that much. Now I change my own. Once you see it done, if you've ever worked on engines before, it's a breeze, sorta. You gotta have the right tools.

Convince Travis (Caka) to head your way and make him change the plugs for you while the rest of us eat the turkey is getting rid of his Lightning.
Gap the plugs at .040 and they are a pain to change. Some of the local guys might help you find a place near you.
